Deck Origins
A deck called Nic Fit was created around 2011, when a man named Tao created a tab of that name on the Internet forum The Source - a place where many decks of the Legacy format were described. It is suspected that the motive for creating a deck of this kind was the printing of the game expansion - Mirodin Besieged, and in it a card that changes the image of green decks in the Legacy format - Green Sun's Zenith. Sources say that the idea for the name came from two places:
First: possibly from the statement Nice Fit referring to the synergy between Cabal Therapy and Veteran Explorer
Second: reportedly, Tao was listening to the Sonic Youth band and the band's song - Nic Fit while coming up with his first list. The name of the deck was therefore taken from the name of the song
The synergy between the cards is simple. The cost of playing Cabal Therapy from the grave is to sacrifice a minion. This creature is usually Veteran Explorer. The moment he falls into the grave, a trigger is triggered saying that each player can search from the deck up to two basic lands.

What is Nic Fit?
It is generally accepted that Nic Fit is a midrange deck designed to win against agrro, outperform control decks and lose to combos. The truth is of course a little different, because each deck variation has different matchups with Legacy decks. The basic version of the deck is the BG theme and it was in this version that its first creator created it. In addition to adding the synergy of the cards already mentioned above, the deck is played with the green zenith, which acts as the deck's engine. The deck uses the legendary land - Phyrexian Tower, giving access to sick, sometimes very explosive starts, which many Legacy decks can't handle. By sacrificing a Veteran from the tower, we can have 5 mana to use in the 2nd turn. Every deck plays some form of removal, but Nic Fit is unique in this regard. This is where Pernicious Deed comes in, absolutely devastating any aggro plans of opponents, and works quite well against other strategies as well. The elements of the skeleton I mentioned play in this arrangement in Nic Fit to this day.

Game Plan
You already know that the classic Nic Fit is an fair deck, which uses black and green cards.
His game plan is:
Playing Cabal Therapy. Thanks to it, you gain information about what your opponent is playing and discard hard-to-defeat cards from opponents' hands.
Playing Veteran Explorer. Very few format decks play basic lands, so the Veteran ramp is often one sided. What's more, thanks to the Veteran effect, you can replay Therapy from the Grave. Even if you call the wrong card the first time you play it, you can correct your mistake the second time you play it.
By throwing cards from your opponents' hands and ramping up Veteran, you gain access to more mana than your opponent. Thanks to this, you can play creatures from your hand or from the deck that you would normally not be able to afford in the first turns of the game. Each creature played in Nic Fit can often end the game by itself.
To make the game more enjoyable, Nic Fit plays a removal that doesn't play anywhere else in Legacy - the Pernicious Deed. Since the threats you play tend to have a high CMC cost, firing Deed at 3 mana or less hardly hurts you and its effect almost always destroys the opponents board, never yours. Keep in mind that each deck can be different and you may end up with a deck that plays more basic lands than you do. Everything that happens during the game, the cards used by opponents, their strategies, the situation at the table and the sideboard cards played must always be taken into account.
Now let's take a look at the decklist.
