In this edition I'm going to share with you my new musical discoveries and not only, I'll also try to introduce the artists thanks to whom my musical tastes are shaped nowadays. Perhaps this will help you learn something new yourself, or refresh your memory.

In a previous similar article I focused on the past, so it will be prudent to jump in to the future.

Shall we begin?

All right, well, how about we get right down to it. I'm from Rzeszow so the first gentleman to show is none other than Tadek Nalepa.

Well-known Polish composer, musician, guitarist, singer and song writer. His skills are a real combo. Certainly we know who he was and that he is no longer with us, but few people know that he came from Rzeszow. Well, I would argue about that because he was from a small village close to this metropolis(joke) but Zgłobień is almost Rzeszow. There's a reason the city erected his statue on the city's main promenade.

I don't know if it reflects the artist in appearance, I've never seen Nalepa live. However, there is certainly some similarity.

But back to the music. Well, I get bored very quickly when I listen to something and that's why I discover a lot of music, but to Tadek i could listen all my life. I became glued to his work in late 2020, and since then I've only really gotten to know one album that's available to listen to on Spotify. We may also know him from the hits of Breakout group, which he belonged to and which I also like. He also created several songs with the group Dżem.

It's My Blues - that's the title of the album I mentioned above, it's something really fantastic. If you could wish what would be played at your own funeral, I would want it to be Nalepa's music.

Here's one of the tracks too. The work of your hands. (Polish Translation)

One might think that the lyrics of the song refer to the way our current government runs the government, it's just a shame that the song was written many years earlier. Other than that, some of my favorite songs from the album include:

  • Hołd

  • Zasady gry

  • Święty Boże nie pomoże

  • Nie uciekaj, dokąd chcesz uciec

  • Nie takich ludzi znałeś

  • To mój blues

This post is the first of many in which I test the ability to publish music directly from YT.

It's time for number two, and it will be Daniel Norgren.

Amazing how many things you can learn by accident. I was listening to Tool's playlist on YT, when the song accidentally came on autoplay.

Well, that's the song. Cool chill sound, great to cook with. Unfortunately or unfortunately other tracks of the creator sound a bit different, but it is also possible to like them.

The artist himself makes folk, blues and rock music, or at least that's what wikipedia says. He is a rather little-known musician of Swedish origin.

The above track which you can turn on yourself is better in a live version. However, I am not used to give people everything on a plate so I hope that your curiosity will win and you will check it out for yourselves.

Other cool songs:

  • PeopleAreGood

  • MoonshineGotMe

  • TheFlow

  • RollingRollingRolling

  • Rattlesnake

I'm moving on and building on hiswork, looking for newer compositions that will rape my eardrums.

Number three will not be a singer or a song - writer, but a whole range of songs.

I have some of my own ways to relax, and one way is to listen to chill music. What could be more calming and chill than the sound of falling rain?

I don't think there's a singer, or at least Idon't know one, who makes music like I described. I think similar sounds are recorded, not composed.

Anyway, in case any of you were looking for something to calm you down, here's a storm.

And we've come to number five.

In memoriam vestri usque in sempiternum.

Forever in memory.

Recently we had the chance to say goodbye to one of the equally outstanding, or even more outstanding, Polish musicians than the above mentioned Tadek Nalepa. I'm sure I don't have to say who I'm talking about, I can definitely say that the whole Poland groaned in pain on hearing about Krzysztof Krawczyk's death. Contrary to what our President Andrzej Duda claims, Krawczyk is known not only to old people but also to young blood.

Personally, I'm not really into his work, but sometimes you have to put aside your views on what you like and don't like in memory of something / someone important. In keeping with the piece of music I'll throwin, I'm sure Krzysiu is swimming in some interesting direction right now.

This is enough for this post.

See you soon in another story :)
